County Court
Acting Solicitor: Bill Doogue

Facts of the Case - Rape, sexual penetration child under 16, indecent assault

The client was charged with having sex with his step-daughter who was underage. The allegation was that he had given her alcohol before these events happenned. There was a real issue about whether the defendant had the opportunity to do the offences because he was at work. There was a lot of preparation by us to present a large volume of business records so prove the alibi. There was also work done on re-constructing a computer hard drive to access deleted records. A number of applications were made to obtain confidential communications between the alleged victim and a psychologist.

Results Achieved

The client was acquitted on all charges.
